I really really wish I didn't need this account anymore...

Spousal drama continues.

I guess the "honeymoon" is over now. It seemed like he was behaving better with <user=the_big_bad_wolf> here. Now...not so much.

Spousal unit *still* doesn't have a job. He doesn't do hardly any chores around the house. He's not even being much of a parent right now. He seems to let kidlet do whatever she wants and even if she does something wrong, he doesn't back me up when I hand down a consequence.

Most recent major incident was over inappropriate internet and media usage. Because of the nature of what she did...she got put on media restriction for a week. All three of the parenting adults in the house talked about this before we had a talk with kidlet and we'd agreed on the restriction. It was supposed to go from that Sunday afternoon till the *next* Sunday afternoon. Come that Friday, I find out that spousal unit whispered to kidlet that once <user=the_big_bad_wolf> and I were gone for the weekend, he'd let her watch whatever she wanted.

What...the...hell????

And so it's been going like this. <user=the_big_bad_wolf> and I hand down reasonable consequences when kidlet acts up....and spousal unit undermines us. No wonder kidlet is freaking the hell out so much lately.

So yeah...between that and the lack of job or any other *meaningful* financial contribution to the household, I'm about ready to kick him the hell out.

Except...I have no idea how to go about that without completely freaking out my kid. Is there a way to have him leave without stirring up a shitstorm of drama?

Make sure she's not home? Get locks to change em ALL. The lock thing is about the best suggestion I've got, if you can legally do that.

I don't know. I hate reading about this, I hate seeing what's happening. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I didn't move out.

I wish I had a reasonable suggestion, but I'm at a total loss...other than perhaps moving might be the best thing after all.
